noVNC why noVNC

Hi All,

I have been thinking why did you guys choose the name "no""VNC"; 

Just curious, trying to pull my hairs here finding the rational behind the name. 

I don't see noVNC doing away with VNC altogether hence wanted to understand. 

Please take no offence in my question as I ask with naïve curiosity.

Historical context: I was working on a custom cloud compute infrastructure and was trying to provide seamless access to the console of running virtual machines. The best solution at the time was a Flash plugin VNC client. But it was buggy and hard to integrate into the rest of the web management UI. This was around the time when HTML5 canvas and Websockets were beginning to be widely supported in the browser and I had the thought "what if I could use those technologies so that no VNC client is required at all". That pretty directly led to the name "noVNC" for the open source core component of that.

I'll take the blame for name. I was probably too clever by half.
