If you have, go to the device list and click the Install button. That will
allow you to download the updateagent.msi file and save it somewhere where
you can work with it.

I know the vulnerability for the ZPM 6.4.2.420 agent was download to my
ZPM server and I'm able to push out the agent. Is it possible get
this patch from novell's patch website (updateagent.msi v 6.4.2.420)?
I'd like to modify my NAL scripts to automatically install this agent,
when they login. Just wondering where to find the file. Doesn't seem
to be under the patchfinder in novell.
Thanks,
Kev B

ZPM generally is capable of patching itself, it's rare that you need to
obtain a patch from the novell.com site.

if it's the one running ZPM, then yes you are, it's installed as part
of the server install. Generally you should look out for
vulnerabilities that start "B - " and "C - " to get the server patched.

what Dave said
--
Shaun Pond
have you applied "B - Novell ZENworks Patch Management Agent 6.4 SP2
Server Side Update (QFE) (See Notes) (Rev 2) "
--
Shaun Pond
that's the one that should update your agent MSIs - is it not present,
or does it think it's not applicable? search for that string and use
--all-- in the other fields...
--
Shaun Pond
that's not what I was suggesting: go to vulnerabilities: enter
B - Novell ZENworks Patch Management Agent 6.4 SP2 Server Side Update (QFE) (See Notes) (Rev 2)
in the name field. Ensure that status and impact say "--All--" and results for groups says "My Devices"
Do you see the patch now? If not, you either have an issue with replication (so you're not getting new patches)
or this vulnerability has previously been deleted, and I'd then recommend going to options>reset to reset your subscription feed (be aware that this will make all critical patches get re-downloaded)
What's your SR number? I'll take a look, because most of the time the guys come to me for ZPM advice, and if they pass me your SR I don't want to work on it twice, if you see what I mean :)

Shaun Pond
looked at the log file it created in program files\common
files\patchlink?
--
Shaun Pond
OK, I have just looked at the SR, and the Lumension ticket,. and the
response from them is the same as I gave you - you need to deploy the
vulnerability "B - Novell ZENworks Patch Management Agent 6.4 SP2
superb, glad we got there - I'll close the ticket

Shaun Pond
oops, it wasn't me that opened that Lumension ticket, i'll leave it for
the engineer who's dealing with your SR :) Next time trust Uncle
Shaun...
