Hi,

we use ZfD 4.01 Imaging on our NW6.0. We apply last patches. All working
fine.

Now we buy new computers some without HDD.
I make new image and put it to this new stations.

Stations with new HDD I imaging successfuly.

When I install old disks to new machines and try boot from network via
PXE pxe menu doesn't apeear. Only shows this label :

Executing DNX: imenu.dnx with parameters "defmenu.dat"

after 30 sec PXE boot terminating.

When I disconnect old HDD, PXE menu start successfully.
I try format HDD, run ziswin.exe, etc.

Can you help me ?

If you have already compiled drivers or have linux.2 please put them on

Is your bios settings to compatibility mode? Sometimes you need to change
the bios to see the old drive under compatibility mode.

just a thought....

Claer HDD working fine, only HDD with informations (previously installed
on another computer) has trouble.
I use new HDD 80GB and odl HDD 40GB seagate. New HDD without informations
are good, old HDD's not.

I mean that on old HDD is informations taha block boot process.

so did you configure in either server policy package or wks policy package
to not show the menu?

before imaging over a used hard drive try this:
img pd1
img pd2
img pd3
img pd4

then lay down your image... should work fine.

I erase some sectors from begining of disk area (in the another PC) and
now boot from pxe starts.

In my opinion boot process has save data which block normally boot
operation.

Have you contact to developer of novell ? This is error ...

but the menu should show up if you keep ctrl-alt pressed during pxe boot...

do you mean that the computer is not booting to pxe?

otherwise I would check your wks imaging policy as it should disable the
pxe menu...

we are talking about the pxe menu right? not the IMG menu...
