Blank/black screen when using Remote Control/View

I'm very puzzled by this. We're using ZfD 4.01, with up-to-date Workstation
Agent on Windows XP workstations. In one branch of our tree I get a blank,
black screen when I attempt to Remote Control or Remote View any
workstation. Other than the blank/black screen it appears to be working
normally, and there are no error messages. In a different context, but with
almost identical remote control policies in place ("almost" means I'm not
seeing any differences) I am able to see the screens of all workstations.

When I check the remote access logs on one of the blank/black screen
stations I see no problems. My connection authenticated as expected. I
just can't see anything!

Better yet, it worked fine 2 days ago, but since yesterday this entire
branch of the NDS tree has been effectively cut off from Remote
Control/Remote View. I've got Supervisor rights everywhere.

I'm totally puzzled by this. Any ideas?

did you try a different wks for your c1? are you using ir7?
