As for the inventory database, I only bother with monthly 'clean' backups
for it. The normal backup just captures whatever is running. the clean
backup simply consists of me downing zenworks on the server, running the
backup (which is quick since its done in a separate pass than my app
sources), and then bring it back up.
Most of the 'useful' meat that you need to back up is in eDir and your
file-based backup.
