Group Policy SP1 to SP2 how to convert

Hi Guys,
I wonder if someone knows how to convert Windows XP SP1 group policy to SP2 preserving all the settings from SP1. I tried to copy the policy files into a temp location and then opened them using a workstation with SP2. The policy looked like SP2 after all, but some configruration applets are missing. Please advise.
