Hi -

I'm fairly new at this and any help would be appreciated. We are running
ZenWorks 6.5 SP2.

Our setup is like this:

Our main set of workstations are located in an OU named Main_Workstations
with associated Server, User, and Workstation packages. We now have a
second set of PCs that we would like to keep separate from the
Main_Workstation OU and put into another OU named Training. These PCs will
have a different image, etc than our PCs in the Main_Workstation OU.

How (if it is possible) do I set this second set of workstations to be
imported into the new OU? I attempted to set up a second Server Pacakge
but it appears I can only have one per ZenWorks server, of which I only have 1.

Right now the PCs we want in the Training OU are being placed in the
Main_Workstations OU.

Thanks!

A couple ways to go here...........

1) Manually move the workstations.

2) Populate the Registrty with ImportServer and ImportPolicy values. This
should over-ride the default ImportPolicy assigned to the server.

Hi Craig -
Thanks for the reply.
I populated the registry with the info, however the workstation still shows
up in the Main_Workstations OU, b/c the Import Policy in the Server Package
is set to create workstations in Main_Workstations. When I move the
workstation to the desired OU, and try to do a remote control on it, C1
gives me a 1478 error (valid or obsolete workstation object).
I would leave them in the Main_Worstations, but these PCs need to have a
totally different image policy and user policies.
Thanks for your help!

After populating the registry, try unregistering the PC, making sure the WS
Object is gone in E-Dir and reboot.
This setting will not have any effect after it has already been rebooted.

Tried that - still get the same result when trying to do a remote control.
