problem with DVD on Suse 10.1

hi folks,

i bought suse 10.1 a while ago and its dvd never worked great but my drives
are no longer reading it.
i try creating a DVD by using the makeSUSEdvd application but it does not
work for 10.1 or newer. something to do with its md5checkSums.
would there be anyone who have created a DVD from the original 6 cds? or
direction as to where i can find info?
