cdialog problem in Version 10.0

In the text based routine called dialog ( cdialog) called in shell
scripts, the "menu" dialog does not seem to work with key presses to
select a menu entry. It works fine with the up/down arrows to select a
menu entry

On further investigation it seems that this problem may arise due to a
different version of libncurses being present in 10.0 to that of 9.0.

Any idea of how it may be fixed or got around?

I have now solved the problem with the help of others.

The version of dialog being shipped is:

cdialog (ComeOn Dialog!) version 0.9b-20040316
Copyright (C) 2004 Thomas E. Dickey

The latest version is :

cdialog (ComeOn Dialog!) version 1.0-20060221
Copyright (C) 2005 Thomas E. Dickey

This fixes my problem.
