My system is dual-boot windows ME and SuSElinux v8.0 with
the 2.4.18-4GB kernel. Out of the blue an apparently
normal boot(text screen)hung at the login prompt.
The reason seems to be that the system isn't reading the keyboard.
Re-booting in safe settings produces same response.
The keyboard is OK, works on windows ans another m/c.
'boot.msg' seems to be normal
I have booted from the OEM CD-rom into a ram-disc,
mounted the hard-disc (on /tmp) and extracted a few files but I don't
really relish the hassle of a re-install.
Anybody got any ideas?
