Hi,

I tried installing XScreensaver the other day and upon rebooting I found
that the system was having problems displaying JPEG images.

The login screen had changed from the Blue Suse screen to a background
with a flower in the right corner and their are no longer any background
images for my desktop. I right click the desktop and select "Change
background image" but each image I select only changes the desktop
colour. No image appears no matter which image I select.

Any suggestions?

(BTW. I tried uninstalling XSCREENSaver and resintalling it. gtk,
JpegSRC,v6b and tiff-3.7.4 and still no luck?)

I suppose what I need to know is:
What is the program that is responsible for displaying JPEG's for the
log on screen, and HOW do I set a program to open an image type by default.

E.G. When I click on a JPEG image..IS it opened with GIMP or Inkscape by
default?
