I'm following an update process for SLES9 that I inherited from
someone else in my group at work. I'm trying to update SLES with the
latest set of patches and kernel updates, which I downloaded from the
YOU server.

I want to "update if newer version available", so I Check Dependencies
before I can Accept. The box pops up showing some Dependency
conflicts, and it gives me the option of removing 6 packages.
However, when I go to those particular packages (as they are listed in
the upper right frame), I do not see the packages that are conflicts
listed anywhere under the "Dependencies" tabs.

Where can I go to see the file(s) and detail that causes the
Dependency Conflicts in the first place? It might help me to
understand the resolution.

Hope that all makes sense.

TIA.

jmb,

You posted to a dead newsgroup which is no longer part of the official
Novell support hierarchy.
I suggest you visit http://support.novell.com/forums and post to one
of the official Novell support forums.
