Detailed description: Linux implementation consultant with experience
with the following:
• SuSE Linux administration/installation and HP Blade server or HP
server experience
• 4-7 years Linux experience
• 1-2 years recent SLES Linux experience
• 1-2 years VMware virtualization experience
• Experience deploying/maintaining Linux in a datacenter environment
MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND ABLE TO OBTAIN A US POSTAL SECURITY
CLEARANCE. MUST BE LOCAL TO EITHER SAN MATEO CA OR EAGAN MN AREA. NO
TRAVEL FUNDING IS AVAILABLE.
Project description: The client is proposing an infrastructure
solution to support the mission critical US Postal Service PHOENIX
project that will modernize the existing USPS.com environment. USPS’
objectives are to create a new USPS.com portal that will enhance user
experience, provide flexibility to meet market needs, simplify
operations and create a venue for additional revenue generation.
The client will provide the necessary labor skill sets to ensure the
environment is effectively integrated within the USPS infrastructure
with appropriate documentation and support process. The client will
follow a proven structured Transformation Methodology that addresses
the full lifecycle. Work on this engagement will be performed at the
USPS Eagan and San Mateo Data Centers.
To support this engagement we will need two SuSE Linux implementation
consultants to install and manage systems at the USPS Datacenters in
San Mateo CA, and Eagan MN.
