The motherboard mentioned above, worked always right, with the on-board
graphics video card(an Intel extreme), but at the moment I installed
the Geforce at the booting time after scroll some lines stop the
process and die with this message :
System boot control : the system has been......................setup
System boot control: Running /etc/init.d/boot.local.........done

INIT: PANIC: segmentation violation at 0xffffe420 ! sleeping for 30
seconds

then the system die
The matter is that I can't install the Nvidia driver because I don't
know how to open a text terminal, because I can't even login ¡¡
I had follow all the steps to install the driver, but only with the
Monitor connected to the on board graphics video card, and setting in
the bios Setup as Primary video Graphics the on board, this is the only
way I can make SuSE boot, and login.
After all the install process of the Nvidia driver, in the last step,
in sax2 trying to do the sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia, the message is THE VIDEO
CARD IS LOST, aborted. . .
I really tried it all, is there a way to make SuSE 10 boot with the
Geforce fx5200 connected to the Monitor, and make a sucessfully booting
? al least in text mode to install the video driver.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Daniel
PD I have double booting SuSE 10/WinXP, but I need SuSE because I used
it for years and its great¡ ¡ ¡

Well, this newsgroup is not really about the normal SUSE linux, but
rather about a very special version that existed some time and was
called SUSE Linux Desktop and later became Novell Linux Desktop.
For SUSE 10 support, you should go here:
