Hi,
I have two machines with me and i want to install the second
machine with help of PXE boot from first one.I installed SUSE 9 sp3 on
first one and then created a separate boot server and an installation
server on this node.
Both of my machine has four network interfaces and i had connected one
of the interfaces of both machines through a private channel . On
first node I started DHCP server on this interface (which is connected
through private channel with second node) and wants to do the PXE
installation with this channel only. But the problem is that the
inirtd image placed in first node's boot server does not contain
driver for interface of second node on which the DHCP request is
coming .Since i do not want to modify initrd manually , so i tried
putting a driver update disk with missing network drivers in install
server (not in the boot server) and then tried to do the PXE boot
again. But still interface remains undetected and my DHCP probing on
second node is failing .I tried google this problem and found that one
can not apply LAN drivers update with help of Driver update disk (DUD)
and you have to have edit the initrd image manually to put these
drivers there.

So i want to make sure that is there any way so we can put the driver
updates in boot server and my LAN driver can get loaded before the
DHCP starts it probing during installation process? The drivers i want
to put are e1000 and tg3.

Thanks and regards,
Sumit Kumar
