Vertical menu tree colour

Hey all,

Just wondering if it is possible to change the colour of the popup
menus that come up with the vertical menu navagation page type.

I would like a background colour for the text so when the mouse rolls
over it becomes our custom colour and changes the font.

I mean to change this for the main menu we just change the shared
pages CSS data, but this of course only effects the main menu bar...
Can i change the popup menus or am I stuck with this generic menus.
