Xerox and HP printers (all kinds)

We just moved from queue based printing to NDPS. It used to be
'before NDPS' that whenever a printer was swapped out with another one
we would have to delete the print server, rebuild the print server,
and then reattach the printer before it would talk on our network.
What are the experiences people have with swapping printers out on an
NDPS network? Does anything need to be done? I am interested in what
has happened when swapping out printers in both "like for like"
situations, i.e. 8100 for 8100, and also when say, a Xerox is swapped
out for an HP. Does anything need to have happen? IP address stays
the same. Can the tech just slap it in there and boot it up? The
clients are loading their own drivers from the network since we are
right in the middle of the upgrade so that would not change.

For the swapping out with the same model printer, it's as easy as you'd
think: Make sure the IP addressing is the same. That's it.

If it's a different model then you also need to update the printer
agent to reference the different printer drivers. Still pretty easy.
