First, PCounter only seems to want to track by the default page sizes.
In our current system, we are able to define custom "page types", that
our users choose when assigning the print to accounts. For instance,
our big complicated Xerox Document Centres can print or fax, so our
users can chose either "copies" or "fax". The big color plotter has
the choice of "Normal" or "High Quality" This lets us charge back the
client more for the increased cost of the best quality prints.
Looking at the program closely and talking with AND tech support
really didn't come up with any reasonable solutions. I thought I would
throw this out and see if anyone else has had a similar situation, and
has come up with a solution that maybe I would not have thought of.
Second, we are looking for a solution that will incorporate our 2
Xerox document centres and track walk-up copying. I have obtained some
information and a quote from Copyguard (http://www.copyguard.com/).
They sell copier access boxes, and also resell Pcounter software to
combine with it.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Copyguard products
and services. And if they have any kind of value add to the PCounter
product that would justify their 50% markup of AND's pricing.
Any ideas appreciated. Our main thrust for using this software is to
allow our users to bill expensive prints back to our clients as expenses
(lots of $$, easy to get reimbursed).

Pcounter has been recomended to me more than once on this newgroup,
and I've seen it recomended to others more than once. Apparently it
just gets recomended, not actually _used_ <G>
Jim
i also testing it (evaluation version for 60 days) , but i have yet not
enough experience to help you more.
The documentation is not good at all, so i have some difficulties to set it
on. (Would be better if it was in french...)
