Error adding W2k drivers to RMS

The updated version of NDPS that comes with NW5.0 SP6a, NDPS 2.0 I believe,
is giving me trouble. I am unable to load any Windows 2000 drivers into RMS
in the NDPS Broker. When I open the broker in NWADMIN and go to the RMS
page, I select "add resources" on that page and on the window that opens , I
try to select Windows 2000 from the list of Resource Types. When I do, I get
an error 936. I haven't been able to find anything on this error on Novell's
website, although it seems like it's just telling me that there are no
available Windows 2000 drivers to display. If I click OK, and then select
add and then select the location of the Windows 2000 *.INF files for the
printers I want to install, no resources are displayed in the Resources
Available box, although my *.INF files are displayed in the Resource
Location box. My OK button never becomes available and I am forced to cancel
out of the window. Any suggestions you can make are welcome.

I've had this problem... And found out that some
drivers, not all, require that you install them
using the same desktop OS as the printer driver
OS.. ie: Win2K printer driver would have to be
installed from a Win2K workstation...

Thanks, I'll try that soon. I just had to revert my 5.0 server back to pre
sp6a status (initial 5.0 install) so I'll have to wait until I can reapply
the patch to try it.

There is a TID on this. If memory serves me right you need to add the
switch /disableTLSManager or something to that effect after the nwadmn32
executable.

I had the same problem. The TID fixes the problem.

I have had this exact same issue. The Tid
mentioned does not fix this. That TID refers to a
problem where you cannot even browse for the
rescources.
The problem I have is I can select the rescources
and the necessary inf file, but the OK button is
still greyed out. I have tried inf file from 3
different manufacturers just to make sure it
wasnt a bad inf file.
Ive currently got an issue logged for this one as
I'm pulling my hair out to find it.
I also have all the latest patches loaded.

Thanks for the reply. I'll take a look at the TID before I install the
service pack again and keep my eyes peeled for your solution to the problem
in the newsgroups.
