Creating a printer

I tried to create a printer using the IManage screen. When I got down to
the Gateway type, the book said the Novell IPP gateway (IPP on IP) should
be the default and the one I should use unless using Unix or Linux. That
is not my default, and in fact it isn't even listed in the dropdown menu.
The Novell LPR gateway is my default. How do I get the Novell IPP gateway
option? Thank you in advance for your help! I am really having printer
nightmares and becoming extremely frustrated.

I'm sorry I did forget to add that info. We are running Netware 6 SP2 and
Zenworks 4.

OK, then the Novell LPR Gateway is what you want. Other gateways might
be available via NWAdmin -- the same Novell gateway there is just
called Novell Printer Gateway. Same as what you'd pick in iManager,
just a different name.

BUT I do recommend you consider upgrading to SP3 for NetWare 6, then
also apply the post-SP3 NDPS patches.

Correction: If NDPS is installed correctly and NWAdmin is run from that
server, then you should see 'Novell NDPS Gateway (SNMP)' as the Novell
branded gateway, not 'Novell Printer Gateway' as my previous message
stated.
