I noticed in the SYS:ETC directory all of the FTP .log files (ftpaudit,
ftpstat, ftpintr, ftpd) seem to be duplicated as .U8 files. Anyone have
an idea what the purpose of these .U8 files is other than just using up
space on the SYS volume? Thanks.

Maybe they're backups of old logs?
