I am trying to use the NetWare LDAP service and I need to use Unix
attributes. For this I need to be able to edit the fields for the unix
property page "UNIX Profile" tab. I have a NetWare 6 server with SP3.
I have ConsoleOne 1.35 with the 2.1 Account Management Snapins. I now
have a tab "UNIX Profile" but I can't enter any information in the
fields. If I try to enter information and then try to leave the tab I
get a response of "User id is blank". I have tried various versions of
ConsoleOne back to 1.33. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

And you have put a number into the User ID field, right?

The only other thing that comes to mind is a rights issue -- have you
verified your rights to the user object(s)?

Thank you for replying. No, the fields are all empty (except for
"shell") The fields are grey and do not accept input. The only field I
can change is the "shell" value by using the pick list. I cannot input
a number to the User ID, the Group ID or any other field. I just
created a NetWare 6 lab environment to further investigate this
problem but it also acts the same way. The Unix Profile tab shows up
in ConsoleOne but I can't edit, change or input any values. As far as
rights, I have full supervisor rights to the root of the tree on both
the production environment and my lab environment. Any ideas?

OK, it sounds like the ConsoleOne snapins are in place, but NFA for
Unix is not installed. Do you see it (NFAU) in the installed products
list in NWCONFIG?

Nope, NFAU is not in the list. I will add it to my lab server, check
ConsoleOne and post back.
Thanks

OK, I suspect once it's installed, you'll be good to go.

Yes, you were right. I installed NFAU and I can now edit the UNIX
PROFILE properties.
Thanks
