I am trying to get any information about following problem.
Each time, a several minutes after backup is starting, the following
messagge appears on the logger screen: ''CONTROLLER 0 IS BIENG RESET -
ATTEMPTING TO RESET CONTROLLER''.
Enviornment:
SBS 6 SP3
IBM X225 TYPE 8647-5CG
ONBOARD RAID AND SCSI CONTROLLER
IBM DAT DDS4 TAPE DRIVE HOSTED ON THE BOARD SCSI ADAPTER
ONBOARD ETHERNET AND 3COM 3C905B ARE USED
BRIGHTSTORE ARCSERVE 7 WITHOUT OPEN FILE OPTION (UPDATED FOR NW6)
Increasing of minimum and maximum directory cache buffers is not effective.
The commands ''ERASE'' and ''FORMAT'' from TAPE SERVER console are executed
normaly.
Tape drive does not start to write.
How can I solve this disturbance?
Thanks

Either you have a hardware issue, or your tape drive is not correctly
recognized by your version of Arcserve. The later problem could possibly
be avoided by installing the latest Arcserve device support patch for your
Arcserve version.
Do you have any tool which allows you to verify your tape drive
independently of Netware? If not, you could try SCSITool:
