I have a 12/24 GB DAT DDS-3 drive (reports itself as Archive Python
4016) running BE9.0 on a NW6 SBS server. The drive is the only SCSI
device connected to an Adaptec 2940UW controller. My question - what
are the preferred/recommended settings in SCSI Select for Sync
Negotation (Enabled or Disabled?) and for Data Transfer Rate (up to
40MB/Sec).

Thanks for any help.

With a DDS-3 device, go with narrow (that is an option at the device level
for the BIOS), that will drop the max transfer rate to 20M -- drop that to
6.66 for a DDS-3 device.
