I'm currently in the process of moving from Netware 5.1 servers to Netware
6.5 servers (SP1).

Our backup system uses a Windows 2000 server as the media server running
Backup Exec 8.6. I have 2 questions

1.Backup Exec can't seem to connect to the new tree/servers. You can see
them in the list under Remote Selections then Netware or Compatable
Network but when you double click and you get the 'attach to device' box
it doesn't accept the credentials. Iv'e tried all different formats for
putting the username and password in. The old 5.1 servers connect with no
problem.

2.I've downloaded a Remote Agent for NW6 for BE8.6. Should this work ok on
NW6.5 SP1. (Unfortunately I've not been able to install the agent on the
new servers as I can't connect to them!! - see 1)

Regards

You must have BE9.1 for Windows in order for the Remote Agent for
NetWare to work with NW6.5/SP1

The Remote Agent for NetWare was only updated to support NetWare 6.5 in
Backup Exec for Windows v9.1 build 4691 - you can get hold of that build
from:

(single download)
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/264658.htm
(split download - 1 of 6)
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/264659.htm

You'll have to buy new licenses - BE for Windows 9.1 is a paid for
upgrade (unless you have upgrade protection/maintenance, in which case
you should get new licenses as part of that)
