GReetings,

I have installed BE9.1 onto NW65SP1 in my lab thankfully. When running a
local backup the server CPU utilization jumps a massive 75% for the
duration of the Job. As the server is a IBM x series with 1G processor I
think that the increase is excessive. Has anyone else seen this. The server
was built directly from the 65SP1 overlay cd's.

Regards

Bryan

my server at my old job jumped up to somewhere around there - I had
dual 2.5GHz processors and a 29160 controller hooked to a fairly fast
tape drive (which I can't remember the name of to save my life)

Bryan:
I can't say if it's good or bad but mine does about the same percentage and
it seems to be working OK.

According to Veritas this is cosmetic. IOW, utilization really isn't
as high as it is being reported. Does the same thing on NW6.0 and 5.1.
