Dear reader,

Since a week I'am stuck with the following problem:
The backup fails while the agents should login to a backup user object, see
errors below:

NetWare 4.x error message:
Jan-22 16:43:45 Job request from FS_CNM_BCK_01 @ 145.74.67.7 (NetWare
Server)
Jan-22 16:43:56 E16530: Failed to get .CN=SBACKUP.OU=ADM.O=HAN's object id,
f0
Jan-22 16:43:58 E16107: Failed to login to host server, f0. Please verify
your login id and password.
Jan-22 16:47:40 Job completed.

NetWare 6 error message:
Jan-22 16:43:39 Job request from FS_CNM_BCK_01 @145.74.67.7 (NetWare
Server)
Jan-22 16:43:51 E16530: Failed to get .CN=SBACKUP.OU=ADM.O=HAN's object id,
f0

We tried:
* Recreating the user object
* Using another object
* Recreating jobs

Results seem to vary, some servers (mostly 3 or so) get backed up, others
don't...
Anyone have a clue or suggestion ?

reg, Henno

Data:
Backup server:
NetWare 6 SP3 + PostSP3 NSS fix with BAB 9.0 (tried 9.01 about a month back
but that caused Aprocess abends, so I reverted back to 9.0) and HP Ultrium-1
with 1-9 loader.

Servers to be backed up:
4 NetWare 6 SP3 + Post SP3 NSS fix + NWagent 9.01
5 NetWare 4.2 SP9 + NWagent 9.01 (also 1 NWagent 7.00)

I would check the following:
Does that user have a concurrent login limit set?
While the backup is running can you log in from a workstation as the
user? This is to test for licensing to see that it can acquire a
license from NDS properly after multpile logins...this issue is
addressed in the post-sp3 licensing patch for NW6.

Mike, it was resolved by re-creating the job with the 9.01 manager.
