Hi,

We've set time restrictions for users from Monday to Friday (12:30 AM to
1:00 AM).

My problem is that the server takes an additional 34 seconds each day before
disconnecting the users that are still on. Just to be clear, the time
doesn't fall behind 34 seconds a day, but the server will disconnect the
users at 12:35:00, 12:35:34 the next day, 12:36:08 the next and so on.

Does anybody know why this happens or how to fix this?

Thanks.

Denis.

Check your server clock, or if you have multiple servers, check the clock
of all your servers. One or more of your servers may be running slow.

Marcel,

I verified the server and it doesn't seem to run slow. We have Timesync
installed which updates every ten minutes and the biggest correction
performed was for 15 milliseconds.

Any other hints or ideas?

Thanks,

Denis.

What Netware version are you running and what eDirectory version?
As far as I know, DS.NLM is responsible for enforcing login
restrictions. So your problem might be related to the DS.NLM version
you are using.
