Long term cache hits low ing NW5.1

We recently upgraded to 5.1. Server has 512MB MEMORY and 36gig free disk
space. Long term cache hit on server restart start at 27%. It will increase
slowly to 67% and stay there until I copy a large amount of files to either
volume and the long term cache will jump to 97% and stay there until i start
a remote backup of files off the server. I've updated to the latest support
pack. HELP.

long term cache hits has become kind of an irrelvant stat. a backup
can blow this stat way down to seemlingly frightful levels.

a much better indicator of cache is the LRU sitting time - that lets
you know how long the "oldest" piece of info in cache is...

10 Minutes during peak usage times is a minumum for this.
I prefer 1hr+
