Is it possible to create a script that checks for a file and/or folder on
a users hard drive (c:) when they login, and if that file exists then
delete it?

Thanks for your help,

Rick

You can download EXIST.EXE http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/1067.html
to perform the comparison.

Thanks Ed, does anyone know if there is another way around this? Just
always leary of having to use an executable file.

Thanks again.

How are you planning to check for a file without executing an external
command ? There is nothing built within the login script.

Not sure if Zenworks may provide this feature, best to ask in the Zenworks
forum to see if it does.

EZ with ZENworks,

Just create system requirement for the existence of the file and then in the
file distribution section mark that file for deletion.

Otherwise, Anders Idea is best.

,

You can easily 'spawn' a CMD session and run a batch file to do a IF EXIST check ...
