I found the old one in /etc/hosts in the SYS volume and updated it, but
the problem's still there. Any ideas as to where it's picking up this
old IP number from (I changed the server's IP about 6 months ago).
Thanks, Pete.

Is the old IP number still in the HOSTS file on the workstation too?

Having done a search for any files called "hosts" anywhere on c:, I had
a look in all the contenders and no sign of it. Was there a specific
file you had in mind? None of the ones I found looked exactly generic
and general machine files...
Ta, Pete.
What Windows version are you using?
On my W2k install, it's in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
And it's simply HOSTS, no file extension

XP, file's there, the old IP isn't. Hey ho, thanks for trying!
But is the *new* one in there, cos it needs to be....

It wasn't... and now it is, it does seem to be happier and it all starts
up now. Just got to check all the functionality now! Many thanks for
the rapid responses to this.
Kewl, no problem - glad it's up & running :-)
