Netware 5.1 sp3, Compaq DLT 20/40, and SBCON

Hello everyone,

I have an issue using SBCON and a Compaq DLT 20/40 tape drive. I cannot
backup/restore since the OS was updated from 5.1sp1.

There is an error message that is shown on the console that says:
Device "[V503-A1-D5:0] COMPAQ_DLT4000" deactivated due to media dismount.

Right now, the drive is being identified as a Compaq DLT4000.

I have read several TIDs that state that the tape drive is being
identified wrong and that the firmware needs to be updated.

I have spoken with Compaq suppport and have verifed that the drive is
using that latest firmware (v150/cpq2).

I have also tried using updated versions of DLTTAPE.CDM.

So far no luck.

I need to get this device working again to help me restore a deleted
Groupwise 6 account.

Any suggestions is much appreciated.
