Cannot run MS- Access queury

Users is attempting a queury on a Novell 5.X SP6A server. Queury runs
for a short time then the user starts receiving the following message:

10127 msaccess.exe 344 IRP_MJ_LOCK_CONTROL "the directory path for the
database" NOT GRANTED Offset 537277953 Length: 257
Verified: user rights and space availability. User is able to copy the
database to a local drive and also to another Netware server and run the
queury successfully. Have unloaded AV app and rebooted server to clear
any possible connections hanging up database. Same error.
ANy help would be appreciated
