The 5.1 eval license expired. Is there a way to reinstalled this
license? I've been doing some testing with migration and need this
working. If from nwadmin I delete the license and reinstall it, will it
work?

Could this be why I'm getting NLDAP: SSL initialization error after
running SP5?

Nope. But if you install the server without a license, you have a 2 user server
license.
