I am planning on installing SP6 on my NW 5.1 SP4 Server. Are there any
problems/bugs I should look out for? Are there any SPs that I should
apply before applying SP6.

If for whatever reason you have not set level 2 oplocks enabled = off and
set client file caching enabled = off, do so now otherwise it's a pretty
good SP look for the added patches on the site, you may need three.

One note, if you have Adaptec controllers, don't use the default drivers in
SP6, use those in \tools\unsupdrv instead.

You have to restart the server with the SP anyway so add it to the
autoexec.ncf when you do the SP.

and I will add it to the autoexec.ncf, but if it take effect when I run the
command from the console

they take effect immediately for future connections but any existing
NCP connections will already have the oplocking anabled and will
continue to use it.
