We have a Netware 5.1 SP6 eDirectory 8.7.1 server running an enterprise wide
application that uses SQL2000i version of Btrieve, for which I had to
uninstall and reinstall Btrieve, and we are in the process of installing the
eDirectory 8.7.1.1 patch. This server has been running fine until recently.
We had 3 instances where the experiences high CPU utilization, unable to
map drives, and in Monitor connections were either blank or asterisks. In
one of the problem instances, we experienced a minor abend having to do with
NWMKDE and BTCPCOM. However, I'm not sure if that really is related since
this server has been running fine for the last 1 1/2 years with this version
of Btrieve on it. We also have several other NW 5.1 servers running the
config without any problems but not with the load. We do use TSM with OFM
to backup these servers. Anyone seen these kinds of problems or have any
ideas? Thanks.
