Hi,

I just extended my Array with one more physical disk (RAID 5) and could
boot just once the server. As soon as I tried to create a new Netware
partition the array controller was deactivated.

I can no longer mount my volume because when I start the server, following
message is displayed:

"CPQARRAY: The disk controller in slot 0 has returned a command with an
unrecognized status 10h. The integrated smart slot 0 disk 1 DDG device
will be deactivated. Contact a representative to verify the latest
firmware and driver controller"

I updated the firmware to the latest version. It didn't help. I used
version 2.09 and 2.16 of the CPQARRAY.HAM driver but in fact it seems to
be the CPQSHD.CDM driver that has a problem !!!

My server:
Compaq DL380 with integrated Array Controller
Netware 5.1 SP6

Has anyone an idea ?

Nicolas,

Apply the latest PSP (version 7) of HP and test again.

Boot from a Smartstart CD and check the health of the array. I have
seen cases where an alarm at array level confused the disk drivers and
caused them to fail.
You should also make sure you installed the latest Compaq CSP and your
Compaq drivers are up to date on your server.
