restoring directories from a backup tape

I am trying to restore a backup tape. I installed a new server to be used
as a backup server for our current server. The Tree and Context are
configured like the original server. When I try to restore any backup, I
usually don't have problems with restoring the SYS directories, although
the entire VOL directory I can't restore. It says I have insufficient
privilegdes for every file under VOL. I also am not able to restore the
Schema or any trustee rights.

I ran fdisk
setup a dos partition ( approx. 50 MB )
ran the install program for Novell Server 4.2
installed all the most recent service patchs and gave permission to extend
Schema
installed Backup Exec Ver. 8
Does anyone have any idea's ???

Grant full rights to the file system for the VOL volume to the user
that performs the restored.
