Since 3 weeks, my NW4SBS (NW4.11 + GW5.2 + BackupExec + inoculan) server
with one volume SYS: display all the nights the message "Volume SYS
almost out of disk space" at +/- 0:15 am. Our office are closed, the
backup is execute from 8:00 to 11:00 PM without a problem and we have 500
to 1.5 Gbytes of free space on the HD (capacity: 9 Gbytes) before living
the desk at 17:00 (old files deleted and volume purge).
During office hours, I receive also following messages "Insufficient disk
space to decompress file..." and "Insufficent disk space on volume SYS
prevented a newly decompressed file from being commited to disk in its
decompressed format when the file was closed" in the sys$log.err file.
Any idea ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Stany.
This all sounds like a compression/decompression issue to me - have a
look at:

Insufficient Space to decompress file simply means that decompressing the
file would leave the server with insufficient free space.
The file will simply remain in a compressed state on the server instead of
going to an uncompressed state after access.
The default setting for this amount is 10% of the volume. This is not really
an error or problem, but you should consider adding more space.
