Hi all

Is possible to install in a NetWare 4.11 Sp9 environment a LTO drive; I'm
searching for compatibilities, but I only can find the relationship
between the backup software and the drive, not the operating system.
My question is: there is any compatibility list?
or there is not matter with the operating system if the backup software is
compatible. In this case, we're using Veritas Backup Exec for NetWare
9.0/9.1.

Thank you in advance

I'm currently using the Dell LTO2 tape backup drive with NW 4.11 w/SP9 and
BUE for NW 9.1 with no issues (other than the usual BUE issues...<G>).

That's the only relationship that really matters. NetWare doesn't care
what tape drive you attach as long as you use an SCSI controller that
works with your NetWare version.
The only place where you get into trouble is when you plan to use a
high end tape drive with Novell's own SBACKUP or SBCON. In that case,
you generally are in trouble.
