Hi all,

Help!

I have a client with a Novell 4.11 server with NWPSP9A installed and
clients running Win98 without issue.

Trying to add 2 machines (1 desktop, 1 laptop) running XP.
Downloaded and installed latest XP client.
Log in as ADMIN and can browse to volumes: :SYS, :DATA1, :DATA2 etc
and see the contents.

If I then try to open a folder or file I get an XP message telling me the
folder of file does not exist and to check the path.

I can still "see" the volumes, but can not then see the folders or files.

I have taken the laptop to another site and connected up to their 4.11
server without the same problem.

any ideas would be gratefully received.

Dave Houston.

Dave, with 4.11 SP9, instead of the 4.9 client, I'd suggest uninstalling it
and then downloading and installing the 4.83SP2 client, plus the separate
'E' update. Make sure to install the client with the custom option,
install the client only, and install it with IPX only.

After that, you will want to download and deploy the SP3 update which was
just released from beta to public:
