Hi,

We have a Netware 4.10 running into a Duron 1600 with an SCSI 4.2 GB.
I would like to add an IDE 40 GB WEstern Digital.
My doubt. Can create a new volume in this IDE HD as VOL2 for example?
THe vol1 is in the SCSI HD.
If it would be possible, how can we do it?

Sure, install the drive, create a partition on it using install and
create your volume(s) on the new partition. I would stick with SCSI
since you've got SCSI in the box already FWIW.

Hi,

Do I have to use install from console or from CD?
If would be from console, I can not see the new hd ide. Only the devices
attached in the adaptec.
The DOS part is running is DOS 5.0 and the new HD has 40GB. Can I upgrade
this DOS without affect de VOL1?

load install on the server console. Do you have the ide drivers loaded
on your server?

There is no need to upgrade dos.

Why not track down a 36G SCSI drive instead here -- likely to perform a lot
better and be more reliable.
