Anybody have a referenced statistic regarding how many Netware 3.X servers
are still in use around the world and in the US? Thanks.

Roger

Why do I wonder about this question?

It wouldn't surprise me to see near half of all original licenses still in
use.

I ask because I have the potential to get grief for a "relevancy" issue for
my SANS paper. I feel that there are enough out there to warrant a paper
relevant, and it would be nice to see a centralized reference for Netware
3.X security shortcomings anyway.

You can safely say that at least half of the Novell SysOps consider them
highly relevant in todays networks. A review of sales on ebay might be
enlightening. 3.x security never was much of an issue anyway, and now it is
a non issues as no one tries to get into IPX boxes to speak of anymore. The
biggest current security problem would be an ME or XP WS unpatched and with
a POTS internet connection, connecting to a NW 3.12/3.2 server.
