Hi,

the link leads to some 4 Gig download files.

Here in EMEA the German Novell Office does not have Eval CD/DVD.

Is such a thing available in the states?

Will that eval be included in February's NPRS?

Thanks, Rudi.

It should lead to a series of 600M (or there around) ISO image files which
you can download individually and use a CDROM burning software to create
the various CD's. Note, what is critical is the OS and Product CD, the
client CD you don't need (you can download the client separately), there
are also three different GW image CD's -- though these are much smaller as
downloads, plus one BorderManager CD, again, quite a bit smaller as a
download.

Yes I *did* read that page carefully. ;-)

But once again my questions:

Here in EMEA the German Novell Office does not have Eval CD/DVD.

1.) Is such a thing available in the states?

2.) Will that NW6SBS eval be included in February's NPRS?

Thanks,

Rudi.

Not sure on either query -- I've forwarded them to Novell and will let you
know.

The answer I got is that the SBS 6.5 eval won't be on the February NRPS,
further, there is no DVD/CDROM version available in the US either.

My sense is that once the product releases, you will be able to order an
eval CD/DVD set, and also, subsequent NRPS will include it.

I hear you -- a timing thing as much as anything.

What I mean to say is I understand that you are not happy about the
specific answer, in part the reason the beta didn't find its way to the
NRPS was that it wasn't available until too late for inclusion in the
February NRPS. By the time the next NRPS shows up, I expect a released
version of SBS 6.5 will be included.

I think I got it: It wasn't included due to timing issues.
Like timing often is the cause for ... .

[not in Feb. NPRS]

That sounds good :-) so let's wait for March's NPRS update.

Thanks,

Rudi.

Turns out another good reason for it not to be in the February NRPS -- if
they had, there would have been an SP1 (not SP1a) version of both the NW
6.5 update and the Client 4.9 release. Both of the the SP1 versions got
pulled and replaced with SP1a in the past week or so.

How far is the final release of CSP10?

Rudi, I'm not sure what the 'public' date is for that.

Just about. (Feb, March, June, ...)

A customer is waiting and waiting especially for the GW6 SP
to be final...

Thanks, Rudi.

Here is what I got -- CSP 10 public release is next week.

CSP 10 will include GW60SP4

Really ;-))) ?

As I said, that customer is waiting for exactly that GW6SP4
to be *finally* *released*, and that will be together with
all the other SPs bundled in CSP10.

When will that be done?

- few weeks
- 2-3 months
- later

Just to have an idea about the ETA for CSP10.

Thanks, Rudi.

That customer will be as pleased as a punch.

Excellent -- note, you should be able to download the files then. At a
guess, the shipment of the CD set to CSP customers will take a while.

Next week now is this week.

Like next week the same procedure again ;-) ?

Serious: will the release be postponed? For time zone reasons we
are one business day ahead to the states, so Thursday comes out as
Friday, and Friday in the States is next week here...

Thanks, Rudi.

There was a delay to resolve one issue -- I hope to have an update for you
today or tomorrow. Sorry about that.

The files should be available for download by the end of this week --
*except* for the ISO overlay files -- they are going to be delayed for a
bit.

Actually, what I got was that they should be available sometime today.
That's the latest intelligence from our field operatives and to the best of
my knowledge and belief, at this particular time and place in space, it has
nothing to do with aluminium tubes from an African country <g,d,r>
