I installed a new server for a client and used his old server to run
Faxware...the client runs an RBASE for DOS application that he uses to fax
property disclosures with...he gets the fax number in a field along with
the filename of a .PCX file that contains the disclosure...the @@INSERT
command requires a filename and on the old server it was very simple to
specifiy the volume and directory BUT I cannot get the new FAX server to
find a path to the new file server...does anyone know how to specify a
path to a file on a different server using the @@INSERT command? I can
move the .PCX files to the appropriate DAVID directory so the full path
would not be required but this would be somewhat problematic and I would
rather have it work the current way.

Thanks!

Hi
Do you get a errormessage ?
Is this fax processed on the client or on the server ?
Have you tried two @@ before *and* after the command ?

It said: 'Insert disk 3...' but only 2 fit in the drive.

Paths in the old FW looked like this
VOLUME:\FOLDER\FILE

e.g
@@APIGRAFIK USER:\DAVID\APPS\FAXWARE\RESOURCE\COVER\Master.PCX

You could experiment with
SERVER/VOLUME:\....
or
\\SERVER\VOLUME\PATH..

I could not get it to work...I tried all reasonable syntax...I ended up
moving the files to the graph directory and mapping a drive there...I don't
think Faxware can authenticate to another server as Kai mentioned.
