Just installed SBS6 Starter Pack and client is operating OK. However, a
server screen message shows after "Loading in address space IFolder" the
error
"Failed to resolve server name for 192.168.1.9". That is the static IP I
assigned. We use a LinkSys router for DHCP and to connect to the
cable/modem. We subscribe to an ISP but have no domain name so I haven't
entered one anywhere and am not using Groupwise or Bordermanager.

How can I eliminate the error message?

Just to clarify, unlike Herb two lines below who CHANGED his server's IP
address AFTER the installation was complete, I entered the IP address
192.168.0.9 instead of the default of 192.168.1.1 WHEN ASKED to do so DURING
the installation. I get the same error message as Herb. Any helpers?

BTW, In your first post you indicated 192.168.1.9 as the address you are
using.

Check your host file in sys:\etc and make sure you have the correct ip
addresses listed and host name. Are you using 1 NIC or 2?

Did you enter any domain name during the install?

Add the server as a nameserver entry in sys:\etc\resolv.cfg

Resolv.cfg should look like this:

domain mydomain.com
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

check your httpd.conf file for iFolder and make sure it has the correct IP
addresses or host name.
