I ran DSREPAIR to look at the logfile and it reports the time as the correct
time. However the partition replica: gandg.grange.gandg as 4 hours ealier
then says "all servers synchronized up to" that incorrect time.
I have read numerous posts and Novell docs about this and they all refer to
a time that is WAY in the future. Since my time issues is in the past do I
still do a DSREPAIR -a as stated?
If you need more info from me just let me know. I don't want to post any
irrelavent info. Thanks!

Is this a one server or multi server tree ? If you have multiple servers,
start by checking all servers to see if their time is OK and they are
synchronized. Simply type the "time" command at the server console. If you
have any servers that are not synchronied, try to fix this.
Once you have sorted out all time synchronization issues, or in case you
have a single server tree, try to find out how far off your timestamps
are. For this, load DSREPAIR, select "Advanced options" and do a local
repair. You will then list all objects which have future timestamps. Look
at how far these timestamps are into the future. If they are just a few
hours or days into the future, don't bother with it. The problem will
disappear all by itself once you reach that date/time in the future.
If your timestamps are far into the future, you may have to repair your
timestamps. However this is a dangerous and disruptive procedure you
should do at idle hours and with a lot of care. Before you do this step,
first do the other 2 steps I have suggested above and report what you see.
Then, if necessary, and depending on your actual configuration, I will
tell you how to best proceed to fix the problem.
