sms 2.0 netware 5 (ip..ipx?)

We are trying to setup a sms 2.0 server with our netware 5 server. We are
having a ton of issues. I have read that we would need ipx, we are
running our subnets with just ip. I have the MS white paper and it
mentions that novell netware ip is not supported. Our server is an
upgrade from 4-5.

Is the protocol changed in 5? Can with setup sms 2 without ipx? What do
I need to do to configure this correctly??

I hate to say this, but Why? SMS2.0 is so old that it needs crutches just to
stand up. NW5 (as you well know) provided NCP on IP in 1998 and M$ still cannot
get over that. Had a look at ZENworks recently?
