Does Novell have any plans to port Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) to NetWare? We have great success (mis)using it for application services redundancy in a LAN.

I highly doubt it but I'll ask.

Response I got back from Novell:

"High level features such as VRRP are best suited to device's designed
specifically for routing (Cisco/Nortel's etc). For NetWare to
participate in VRRP group, it would have to be configured as a router in
your network. With the advent of faster wire protocols, and for
performance reasons, routing functions should really be left to
specialist devices. There are currently no plans to implement VRRP in
NetWare"
