We tried :
1) An updated Q57.LAN (v6.01)
2) An updated B57.LAN (v7.00)
2) CHECKSUM=OFF as parameter when loading the NIC driver.
Not working for NW65.
Anyone got an solution yet ?
OneNet is better than nothing.NET

Thanks, i'll try. Do you have a link? I can only find 6.01 and 7.00
I've been pulling my hear out building the new 6.5 environment and wondering
why the MTA's don't talk (everything else works fine, pings, gwip.nlm,
ports, etc...)...
HP confirms it's the Boradcom q57 driver, and is sending us INTEL nic's.
I even have two incidents open at Novell - HP said they should have told me
as they are well aware of the situatiion....

The very latest drivers are bad news, and have resurrected problems that had
been resolved. See if you can get hold of a MAY 2003 driver (Q57.LAN) at these
were the best, indeed I would say they work really very well. The other thing
to ensure is that the Q57.LDI is of the same generation as the Q57.LAN as mixing
those can cause even more problems.
No harm in trying the May driver, after all that would get you 2 free Intel
cards :-)
Tim
PS. NW6.5 SP1 seems to ship the 7.03 driver which is no better :-(

In theory, practice and theory are the same,
In practice they are different!
HP said Broadcom is working on new driver which is due out Jan/Feb...which
we can't wait that long!
At least they are shipping Intel cards at no cost :)
It's just frustrating because I rebuild the new 6.5 system on 4 servers
multiple times thinking I'm missing something, etc...MTA's queues would
sporadically get stuck and clear and stuck...

The old Checksum=off was a problems that was resolved in a version of the B57,
Q57 that was released back last January.
I will send you a copy of the best working version of the B57 that I have and
(if I can find it) a copy of the Q57.
